Neighborhood Traffic Management Action Plan


The Town has kicked off its efforts in developing a Neighborhood Traffic Management Action Plan. The 2nd  listening session is set for  August 13, 2020, to receive resident input regarding traffic, safety, mobility, and accessibility concerns in your neighborhood and throughout the Town.

The meeting will be held virtually and residents are encouraged to participate.  An on-line survey and interactive map have been developed to help gather your input. To access the survey and map or additional information regarding the project visit the project website:

Atherton Schools Re-Opening Conversation

Annual Recycling Event - August 15, 2020

Annual Atherton Recycling Event 


The annual Atherton recycling event will take place on Saturday, August 15th at Holbrook-Palmer Park.  

There will be No E-WASTE recycling due to issues resulting from the COVID-19 pandemic. Paper shredding services and Compost pick-up will still be available. 

The Shoreway Public Recycling Center (PRC) is now open and accepts E-Waste items. 

The PRC resumed regular business hours to serve as a free residential drop off location for a variety of items including, electronic waste, cooking oil, fluorescent lights, batteries, used motor oil and filters, and excess cardboard. A full list of accepted materials can be found at: RethinkWaste.org/PRC. 

Public Recycling Center regular business hours: Monday – Saturday: 8:30 a.m. – 4 p.m.

INSTRUCTIONS


Curbside Pick-up (Shred): 
Residents may place their shredding materials in their trunks, have them labelled, and if possible remove any personal items. Vendors will pick up the shredding materials from the residents’ trunks.

Drop-off (Shred): 
Residents may drop off their shredding materials on the tables if they feel uncomfortable having the vendors reach inside their cars.

Did you know.... individuals who violate health orders, including refusing to wear a face covering in San Mateo County and commercial entities who allow these violations now risk incurring fines after the San Mateo County Board of Supervisors adopted an urgency ordinance allowing new penalties.
