Census 2020
Census Bureau in Atherton

Census Bureau in Atherton

The census bureau has been given the go-ahead to resume population counts in Atherton. This means that there will be Census Bureau field staff  working in neighborhoods and knocking on doors in an attempt to make contact with residents to complete their 2020 census questionnaire.

Please note that all field data collection operations for the 2020 Census will end by September 30, 2020.

All Census Bureau Field staff can be identified by their Census Photo Identification.

If you become suspicious of someone claiming to be a Census Field Staff member, please call the Atherton Police Department so we can help to determine whether the person is a legitimate census employee.
