Official Vote-by-Mail Ballots will begin to be mailed out on Monday, October 5, 2020. This will also mark the first day of Early Voting in San Mateo County.

More Days, More Ways to Vote!

Three Vote Centers will open on Monday October 5th in North, Central, and South County. The Atherton Vote Center will open Saturday, October 31st through Election Day at Menlo College, 1000 El Camino Real.

Safe Halloween Alternatives

San Mateo County Health Department has prepared a communication with alternative Halloween options for consideration.

Consider:

Creating a haunted house or candy scavenger hunt in your home for members of your household, rather than going house-to-house.
Having a scary movie night or Halloween-themed activities (pumpkin carving, face painting) at home.
Dressing up homes and yards with Halloween-themed decorations.
Participate in a Halloween scavenger hunt in your neighborhood and look for Halloween-related objects (e.g. witches, spiderwebs, black cats) while maintaining social distance from people from outside your household.

Town Virtual Halloween Party

The Town will host a virtual Halloween costume party / contest for children and families on Friday, October 30, 2020. More details will come including the time and how to join the party in the coming weeks.

We will recognize guests by posting pictures on Town sponsored social media platforms Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram.

COVID-19 Update

San Mateo County is now Red on the State of California Tier system.

Moving to Red allows:

Restaurants indoors (max 25% capacity or 100 people, whichever is fewer)
All retail indoors (max 50% capacity)
Shopping centers, swap meets indoors (max 50% capacity, closed common areas)
Museums, zoos and aquariums (max 25% capacity)
Places of worship (max 25% capacity or 100 people, whichever is fewer)
Movie theaters in doors (max 25% capacity or 100 people, whichever is fewer)
Gyms and fitness centers indoors (max 10% capacity)
