Municipal Code Reminders

As we recover from the storms, let's also ensure our Town remains safe and beautiful by following these Municipal Code guidelines:

• Remove Fallen Trees and Debris: Clear any fallen trees and debris from the right of way to prevent hazards for pedestrians and vehicles.

• Maintain Line-of-Sight: Trim overhanging trees and vegetation at least 10 feet from the ground to ensure clear visibility around corners, driveways and stop/yield signs, which will enhance safety for pedestrians and drivers.

Cat with microchip reader

Message from the Peninsula Humane Society

Having your pet microchipped is a great, inexpensive way to ensure that they have permanent identification. Peninsula Humane Society & SPCA offers low-cost pet microchipping. Each microchip has a unique electronic serial number that animal shelters and veterinary clinics can scan and research to try and reunite lost pets with their owners. Microchipping is an additional way to reunite lost pets with their families. If your pet has a microchip, make sure that your contact information is up to date.

Need a microchip? You can bring your pet to the San Mateo shelter at 12 Airport Blvd. to be microchipped for a fee of $30 anytime during open hours (Monday–Friday 11 a.m.–7 p.m. and on the weekends 11 a.m.–6 p.m.) or by appointment at a Vaccination and Microchip Clinic on the the first and third Saturday of the month from 9–10:50 a.m. and on the second Wednesday of the month from 6–7:50 p.m.
