The City Council will have a Meeting on Wednesday, October 2, 2024 at 4:00 PM. To view the agenda when published click here.

The City Council will continue the discussion of changes to the Town’s Housing Element and Zoning Code to address State Housing Mandates. This includes the addition of multifamily zoning along Ravenswood, Bay/Ringwood, 23 Oakwood, and school sites. The issues discussed will include the Town’s Housing Goals and Programs, as well as the location and objective design standards for multifamily development. Standards such as height, setback, floor area maximums, parking, and more, will be discussed.

Your participation is important to ensuring that the Council has the input of the community when making these decisions. Please submit any comments to the City Council at council@ci.atherton.ca.us.

Coffee with a Cop

We are excited to announce that on October 2, 2024, the Atherton Police Department we will be hosting “Coffee with a Cop”. This is a great opportunity for you to come together and show your appreciation for the hard work and dedication of your Atherton Police Officers and professional support staff.

The event will take place on Wednesday, October 2, 2024, from 9:00 am to 10:30 am, at Mademoiselle Collette’s located next to the Atherton Library. We invite you to join us for a casual and friendly gathering where you can meet and chat with your local police officers over a cup of coffee and gourmet French pastry. This is a great chance to get to know the men and women who serve and protect our community every day, ask questions, share concerns, or simply express your gratitude for their service.

We hope you'll mark your calendars and join us for this event on October 2. Let's come together as a community to celebrate and chat with your local peace officers!

Join the Town for a free wellness seminar sponsored

by the Atherton Senior Task Force in collaboration with Kensington Place

When: October 23, 2024 - 4 PM - 5:30 PM

Atherton Project Updates

Fair Oaks Crossing: The project is nearly complete with pending improvements remain to add flashing ped signage. Staff will be installing a mid-crosswalk "watch for pedestrians" sign and opening the pathway to allow pedestrians to use the crosswalk.
Historic Train Station: This project is also nearly complete, with electrical work and final interior improvements remaining.
