A Woman's Journey: From Fast Stuck to Freedom in Artistry

Part I: Raised by fundamentalist and scrupulous parents, Carol has trekked miles, married a Korean-American and lived in Japan--all contributing to a transformed identity. Her poems reflect traveling toward love, embracing self, beauty, and an evolving understanding of truth. Her poems and narration will unpack: My Start: fears, resentments, and hiding of my authentic self. Changed--from obsessive toward agency. From whiteness to intercultural and interreligious and thriving liberated artist. Part II- the Writing Journey--How to grow as a writer -- a little on inspiration, revising, online resources (classes, mentors, etc), and publishing.
