Waste Reduction in Atherton

By 2030, the Town's goal for reducing landfilled waste is 35% less than 2005 levels. And by 2040, we'll have reduced our waste by 90% of 2005 levels.

As of 2023, we have surpassed our 2030 reduction goal due to a decrease of ~6,000 tons between 2021 and 2023. To learn more about actual data click here.
