Atherton's Halloween Spooktacular

October 30, 3:00 pm - 5:00 pm

The Halloween Spooktacular returns to Atherton Town Center on October 30, 2025!

Sponsored by the Atherton Police Department, the Town of Atherton, the Atherton Library, and the Friends of the Atherton Community Library, the highly-anticipated yearly event will once again delight community members of all ages. 

There will be activities and bounce houses for the kids, as well as a costume parade.

The Atherton Library will be hosting a Halloween-themed musical story time sure to delight the young readers in your family.

Atherton Police officers will be passing out candy, and vendors will be on site with food and other sweet treats will be available for all.

Parking for this event will be in Holbrook Palmer Park, do not plan on parking at Town Center.

Atherton ADU Mixer

November 13, 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm

Join us for an evening of connection, conversation, and community!

This event brings together home providers, home seekers, and residents interested in Accessory Dwelling Units (ADUs) to learn, share, and explore how ADUs and home sharing can create more housing opportunities in our community.

Enjoy light refreshments, inspiring success stories, and engaging interactive activities designed to help participants connect and exchange ideas in a welcoming environment.


Atherton Arts Foundation: Veterans' Art Show

November 14-16

Jennings Pavilion, Holbrook Palmer Park

(150 Watkins Ave)

A special art show hosted by Atherton Arts Foundation (AAF) and Iraqi & Afghanistan Veterans of America (IAVA). Open to all military veterans (WWII–present). 

Each artist may submit up to 8 works in any medium (ceramics, fabric/fiber, wood, etc.). Space is limited and art may be juried.

Winter 2025/26

Holiday Tree Lighting

December 11, 2025, 5:00 pm - 7:00 pm

The Holidays in Atherton have never been brighter!

Join us on the deck of the Atherton Library for a fun and cozy evening of snacks and crafts. Light refreshments will be provided.

Santa will even be visiting from the North Pole to take pictures with your little ones.

At the end of the night we will illuminate the evening with a festive display of lights.

Please consider biking to the event or walking from Holbrook Palmer Park!

- Author Mary Jo discusses her book "Captive of the Labyrinth" about Sarah L. Winchester, heir to the Winchester Rifle fortune, and the construction of her iconically strange home in San Jose.
