R. Ovadia This item involves the discussion of potential traffic mitigation measures related to recent actions by the City of Menlo Park to prohibit through and left turns from Garwood Way at Oak Grove Avenue from the Springline development project at 1300-1302 El Camino Real. It is anticipated that additional vehicles heading towards Middlefield Road will use Glenwood Avenue and potentially Encinal Avenue. Potential mitigation measures include: the installation of speed humps on Glenwood Avenue as outlined in the NTMAP short term measures, peak hour left turn restrictions at the Glenwood Avenue/Middlefield Road intersection, physical restriction of eastbound traffic at the Glenwood Avenue/Laurel Avenue intersection, speed feedback signs on Glenwood Avenue, and/or similar measures on Encinal Avenue. R. Ovadia This item involves the discussion of a potential donation of speed feedback signs for installation on Glenwood Avenue between Laurel Street and Middlefield Road. The Committee may act to recommend that the City Council accept the donation. R. Ovadia This item involves the discussion of Madrone Road and the potential vacation of the Towns use, for street purposes, of approximately 165 feet street at the end of Madrone Avenue. Madrone Road is not a through street. The rear approximately 165 feet of Madrone Road has not been improved and has been fenced off from public access for some time. The Town does not intend to extend the street. The Town has been asked by the property owner at 71 De Bell to formalize the relinquishment of the unused portion of the street. The contemplated street vacation would retain the public utility access rights over the street right-of-way. Feedback from the Committee regarding the potential vacation of the rear approximate 165 feet of Madrone Road is requested. Reference Documents: - Area map with property lines and street view image
