The Burglary Prevention Bait House Program is a proactive initiative designed to target and deter would-be burglars by strategically deploying decoy devices equipped with advanced security measures in residences throughout the community. These decoy devices are equipped with state-of-the-art surveillance technology allowing law enforcement to monitor and respond swiftly to any unauthorized entry.
Key features of the program include:
Strategic Placement: Bait houses will be strategically located in areas identified as having higher burglary rates, with a focus on deterring criminal activity in those specific neighborhoods.
Advanced Surveillance Technology: Each bait house will be equipped with cutting-edge surveillance equipment to capture evidence. This evidence will be crucial in identifying and apprehending suspects.
Rapid Police Response: The program ensures a rapid response from law enforcement in the event of an unauthorized entry at any bait house, increasing the likelihood of apprehending suspects in real-time.
Community Awareness: The Police Department will actively engage with the community to raise awareness about the program, emphasizing the deterrent effect and encouraging residents to take part in community policing efforts.
Data-Driven Approach: The program will be continuously assessed and adjusted based on data and feedback allowing for a dynamic and adaptive response to emerging crime trends.
The Atherton Department of Police believes that the Burglary Bait House Reduction Prevention Program will contribute significantly to creating a safer and more secure environment for our residents.
