In honor of National Preparedness Month, the Atherton Disaster and Preparedness Team (ADAPT) will be hosting a display and demonstration of Atherton’s Emergency Assembly Point (EAP) system on Saturday, September 28th, from 10 AM to 2 PM outside the Atherton Public Library.
What are EAPs?
You’ve likely seen the green and white Emergency Assembly Point signs around town, but do you know their role in disaster situations? This event is your chance to learn how EAPs can help keep our community safe during a major emergency.
- Learn where the nearest EAP to your home is located
- See live demonstrations of emergency caches providing medical and communication support
- Try out FRS “walkie talkie” radios for emergency communication
Make the most of this opportunity to prepare yourself and your family! We hope to see you there on September 28th.
