On Saturday, September 13, 2025, at approximately 6:30 p.m., Atherton Police Department officers responded to a report of a burglary in the unit block of Euclid Avenue.
During the investigation, officers located three juveniles in the area who were subsequently connected to the burglary. The juveniles were identified, arrested, and released to their parents.
The Atherton Police Department has submitted the case to the San Mateo County Juvenile District Attorney’s Office for prosecution.
The Atherton Police Department reminds residents to take the following steps to help protect their homes from burglary:
- Lock all doors and windows when leaving home, even for a short time.
- Use exterior lighting and motion detectors to deter intruders.
- Trim shrubs and trees to eliminate hiding places around doors and windows.
- Secure valuables in a safe or other protected location.
- Consider installing a monitored alarm system or security cameras.
- Connect your alarm system directly to the Atherton Police Department for the quickest possible response.
