Between 11/4/2025 and 11/5/2025, an interrupted residential burglary and an attempted residential burglary occurred in town. During the first incident, suspects gained entry through an unlocked rear master bedroom door and were subsequently confronted by the homeowner, then fled scene. Nobody was harmed in the incident.
During the 2nd incident, three unknown suspects gained entry to the property by jumping over a fence where they were observed on surveillance footage loitering on the property. The residents, who were inside the home, were alerted to the suspects on the property and began turning on all the lights around the residence. The suspects immediately fled the scene, and nobody was harmed in the incident
These incidents are under investigation, and no other information is currently available.
SAFETY TIPS:
- Keep all doors and windows locked, even when you are home.
- When you are not home, making it appear that someone is home by keeping lights on, installing light timers, leaving on the TV or a radio.
- Install exterior lighting.
- Do not keep valuables in your master bedroom as this area is a common target of burglars.
- Keep valuables well-hidden and consider using a safe bolted to the floor and/or wall.
- Keep valuables out of your car and lock your car doors.
- Install an alarm system and security cameras (strongly consider having your alarm system monitored by our PD Dispatch Center by calling 650-688-6500).
