Initial Review Application (PDF)
Submit an application to have an initial review conducted. This enables Planning Department review and approval prior to submittal of a Building Permit Application. Sometimes applicants prefer receiving approval from Planning on the architectural drawings (site plan, floor plans and elevations) prior to completing the full extent of drawings required for Building applications (mechanical, electrical, etc.). If you're unclear whether this submittal process is advantageous to your project, please contact Planning staff at planningdept@ci.atherton.ca.us
ADU Rental Information Form (PDF)
If your project involves a new ADU, please include a rental information for any of the ADUs included in the project. This information is voluntary and helps the Town track the number of new housing units available to lower-income households.
Planning Commission Application (PDF)
Please complete this form and use as a cover letter for any application for a Planning Commission Public Hearing. The Town also uses this form as a cover letter for mapping and appeal applications.
Record of Zoning Interpretations (PDF)
Chapter 17.10 of the Atherton Municipal Code recognizes that the Town's zoning regulations and development standards provided in Chapter 10 may require clarification or interpretation from the Town Planner. This handout includes a record of written interpretations for public review.
Reasonable Accommodation Request Form (PDF)
Chapter 17.17 of the Atherton Municipal Code provides a process for individuals with disabilities to make requests for reasonable accommodation for relief from the various land use, zoning, or rules, policies, practices and/or procedures of the Town. This form facilitates this request.
