Connect Bay Area Local Investment Plan

A regional transit funding measure may appear on the November ballot. If approved, approximately $50 million annually would be allocated to SamTrans over the next 14 years to support public transportation improvements.

SamTrans is seeking community input to help guide how these potential funds should be prioritized and invested across San Mateo County.

Between 03/13/2026 and 03/15/2026, a residential burglary occurred on the 200 block of Oak Grove Avenue. Officers arrived on scene and discovered a broken glass door to the rear of the property. The loss is jewelry. At this time, we do not have any suspect(s) or suspect vehicle information.

This incident is under investigation, and no other information is available at this time.

If you live on the 200 block of Oak Grove Avenue, please review your surveillance footage and report any potential leads to the Atherton Police Department at 650-688-6500.

SAFETY TIPS:

• Keep all doors and windows locked, even when you are home.
• When you are not home, make it appear someone is home by keeping lights on, installing light timers, or leaving the TV or radio on.
• Install exterior lighting.
• Do not keep valuables in the primary bedroom, as it is a common target for burglars.
• Keep valuables well hidden and consider using a floor- or wall-mounted safe.
• Keep valuables out of your car and lock your car doors.
• Install an alarm system and security cameras (strongly consider having your alarm system monitored for free by our PD Dispatch Center by calling 650-688-6500).
• Schedule a Crime Prevention Through Environmental Design (CPTED) review of your home by one of our specially trained CPTED officers by calling us at 650-688-6500.
